I’ve been hearing a lot about MRSA infections lately. How common are they and what can I do to protect myself? Yes it is a big deal. More than 90,000 Americans get MRSA. It gets its name, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus because it’s a staph infection resistant to most antibiotics.
